Hey everyone DK09 here. OK, so more news has been released about Power Rangers 2011, so here's ALL the info so far....
On May 12, 2010, Haim Sabban, through the newly formed Saban Brands, bought the Power Rangers franchise back from Disney. Saban Brands will team with Nickelodeon to air 20 NEW Episodes of Power Rangers in 2011. Starting in the Fall of 2010, the Nicktoons Network will begin airing reruns of Power Rangers from any of the 700 total Power Rangers episodes.
Also, Saban has plans on releasing a NEW Power Rangers Theatrical Movie in the future.
Nickoloden stated the the new season of Power Rangers would begin production in the summer of 2010, with Mr. Tzachor as Executive Producer.
On May 14, 2010, Bandai America released a press release announcing that they would continue to be the Master Toy Licensee for Power Rangers. But also D3Publisher of America will be responsible for making new Power Rangers video games.
Saban Brands WILL be at the 2010 Licensing International Expo June 8th -10th in Las Vegas. Plus, ToyArk.com has reported that this year, the Licensing Show would be broadcast live on the internet, and all media content would be easily accessible to people all around the world.
Finally, on May 18, it was discovered that the website Actors Access had posting the following casting sheet for Power Rangers. This possibly reveals the names and basic attitudes of the 2011 Rangers. Plus, it states that the filming will be done in New Zealand. And finally, from the colors for the six Rangers listed, it would seem that we could expect the new Power Rangers season to be based from the 2009 Samurai Sentai Shinkenger Series.
